Questions about the works of the French author Alexandre Dumas (1802 – 1870) and his life as a writer. The author is often referred to as "Alexandre Dumas père" ("père" meaning "father") in order to distinguish him from his son, who is then referred to as "Alexandre Dumas fils" ("fils" meaning "son").
