Kenealy is best remembered as being counsel for the Tichborne claimant, but he also wrote: poems in various languages from Greek to Hindustani; a theological work, The Book of God (1866); and a biography of the 18th C. traveler Edward Wortley Montagu (1869), with whom he shared a reputation for insanity.
