There's a lot about "A Brief History of Seven Killings" that I don't quite understand, including this near the end:

When Eubie threatens Alex Pierce, near the end of their encounter he says that one of the men who shot the singer is still out and about. This clearly is a baig deal to Alex Pierce. Is Eubie referring to Heckle? Either way, what is the significance of the missing shooter at this point?
